We have three options for teeth whitening at Ocean Dental:

1. In Chair Treatment

Most teeth whitening appointments will take only no longer than an hour. Your dentist will apply the professional-grade whitening solution to your teeth and allow it to sit for a designated period of time. The results can be seen instantly upon removing the solution.

The better you care for your teeth, the longer these results will last. Although some patients might experience mild sensitivity to temperature for a day or two, there is no pain or discomfort.

2. Custom Take Home Treatment

If you feel that in-chair teeth whitening is not suitable for you, then we may be able to offer an alternative solution. At Ocean Dental, we offer a custom take-home treatment.

During your initial visit, we will create a mould of your teeth to produce custom plastic mouthguards for your home treatment. On your second visit to our clinic, you'll receive your bleaching trays and whitening gel, along with detailed instructions on how and when to use them.

Take-home teeth whitening offers several advantages beyond just brightening your smile. Unlike in-chair procedures, which some find painful, our take-home kits provide a pain-free alternative. These DIY kits are not only convenient—allowing you to decide the timing and setting of your treatment—but they are also safe, efficeint, and cost-efficient.

3. Opalescence

Opalescence whitening gels contain a powerful whitening ingredient. Peroxide gels break down into water, oxygen, and reactive oxygen molecules. These reactive oxygen molecules oxidize the bonds of discoloured stain molecules. By changing the stained molecules, the tooth appearance becomes lighter.
