The SureSmile system is designed to create a custom process for straightening a patient’s crooked teeth. They help give you a healthy, beautiful smile in a way that fits comfortably and conveniently into your daily routine.

First, the dentist will take a digital scan and photographs of your upper and lower teeth to establish what needs to be corrected. Then, a series of gradual alignment trays are created, to slowly and subtly move the teeth into position.

This is typically done with 20 to 30 trays, each with minimal changes, that must be worn for two weeks at a time. The first time a new tray is worn, your teeth might feel slight tightness and pressure. By the end of the two weeks, they fit easily into the current tray and are ready for the next tray.

Some patients might require more than 30 trays, depending on the severity of their misalignment. Similarly, some patients might need to wear a set of trays for longer than two weeks, especially if they have to remove the trays frequently. Trays can be removed for eating, but are typically left in for most of the day to be effective and efficient.
